For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and
brought us into the Kingdom of the Son He loves.”
Colossians 1:1

Dream Center

Thanks to donations, we were able to hire a full time teacher, and we had our first student. It was less than a few months ago that this student was living on the streets. What a beautiful picture of God’s love for us.

A local station made the following video about the Dream Center.

500 Club

The 500 Club has been amazing. Out of the relationships built through this program, we are starting an evening bible study for teen girls. Some of the young girls, hungry for truth, are from Muslim homes.

We are expecting that when the truth is given, and paired with the love of Jesus, it will impact this community in a radical way!

Labor of Love

It was a blessing to have our daughter Willow and our guests, the Huffmans, serving alongside of us as we labored to make this place a sanctuary for the children and the community.

Although our time together with visitors was filled with working hard, we also played hard, and made time to see some of the beauty of Kenya.

Girls Conference

We expected to have 250 girls, each with a reservation, but somehow we ended up with 500! This seems to be a common theme!

Many had come for the promise of a small gift: washable feminine pads, a bookmark, a headband, and a small mirror. The gifts were graciously made by our friends in the States.

The messages were powerful and life giving. But what moved me to tears was when approximately 50 young girls stood (some with head coverings) to surrender their lives to Jesus. This took great courage and is not something taken lightly. This could be dangerous for those that come from muslim backgrounds. The church has given us their word to continue to disciple these new followers.

We plan to do another girls conference in a few months.
