If we had to choose one word to describe our first month here in Kenya it would be defeated.  Every circumstance around us both in the U.S. side and Kenya side says go home!. Our daughters and family in U.S have been very sick, renter refusing to pay rent, changes in ministry here and the list goes on and on. We are feeling worn down  and defeated. It has been a struggle to not jump on the next plane and take care of all these heavy burdens. The only thing that is getting stronger is our time with Jesus. We have treasured this time of pressing into Him. As we seek Him and His perfect will, we are asking Him: 1. Is He stripping us of everything, so we can be more useful for the kingdom work He has in mind? Trials and brokenness are the perfect conditions for His greatest work. 2.Is He giving us circumstances to push us back home to the U.S.? 3. Or, is the deceiver trying to sift us like wheat (Luke 22:31) knowing we are a great enemy of hell. We can endure anything as long as we know it is His will. We do not want to make any decision based on circumstances, so we pray and wait. We know God shines brightest in the dark. Thank you for your prayers.
