Our Christmas Celebration was a day to remember. We had prepared for over 600 kids even though we had been told to expect 300. We packed around 600 paper bags with a green apple, a balloon, a lollipop, 3 marbles and a small bar of soap. We also had 600 cupcakes and 1 giant Happy Birthday Jesus cake. We began with singing songs of worship and then led into an acrobat show. It was wonderful seeing all the kids laughing and smiling. The show included bringing in volunteers from the crowd of children to be part of their act.

The message of Christmas was next and we had a chaotic mob of children all fighting to get to the front to hear the story. We eventually got them all settled down for the Word. We had been praying that this seed would go deep into their hearts, minds and souls. The show ended with us singing Happy Birthday to Jesus. The children began to line up in 5 different lines for their bag of goodies and cake. We noticed the more bags we gave out the longer the line would grow. We began to pray “Oh Lord! Please do not let us run out. And the line grew even longer. We began to pass out cupcakes to the older kids and bags to the younger. That day we had 1000 kids and everyone received something. It may seem very small to many, but to many it would be everything.
