Our family has been back in America for about 5 months now with the exception of a 2 1/2 week trip last month. Since our return there has been an urgency to serve. We havnt found that place yet where we can say ahhh this is what we are supposed to be doing. But we continue to search. We are addicted to making a difference in the lives of others. We are striving to know what is our purpose here. While in Mombasa Kenya we were surrounded by people who were hungry to know God….many who were imprisoned by the Islam religion. We were surrounded by people who were literally starving. Every morning there was that sense of  how are we going to be used today.

I know this will probably offend some people but here it is…I don’t see a hunger for God in our churchs here in America. I am mostly seeing a lot of complaining about this and that. The church seems more about defending what they believe than being Jesus hands and feet.   I see greed and at the same time discontentment with what we have. I see a huge disconnect between us and people suffering around the world. I wish that I could take all those in the church that are complaining and sitting idle and bring them to Africa. I wish I could take all those teenagers sitting on the couch playing there video games the entire day long and bring them to Africa. I believe that these believers  aren’t lazy, greedy, complaining, and uncaring people. I believe they havnt experienced what it truly means to being used for Gods purpose. They are bored. When you find Gods purpose for your life you don’t have time to complain or waste a whole day doing nothing. I have not found my place here yet….honestly my heart is still in Kenya and I long to be back but God has us here for now so I continue to search. I continue to search because Im addicted to the joy of knowing Im being used today for an eternal purpose!

For we are His creation created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
