(Our family has been blessed with the ability to be self supportive for this mission we have been given in Mombasa Kenya….so on that note all funds given for the remainder of this month of July will go directly towards Lorraines medical needs of $1500 ) Anything additional raised will go towards Lorraine and her sister Tamara’s schooling. We have currently raised $250 on our gofundme website. After the month of July all funds raised will go back towards our work with Rapha House.

LORRAINE
Our family has been back in Kenya about a month now. Our first visit to Lorraines home was one of great surprise……..As Lorraine ran to our car and jumped in we literally didn’t recognize her for a moment ,that was until we looked into those eyes and saw that unforgettable sweet smile.
THE JOURNEY
As we have walked through this journey with Lorraine and many of you followers we have so often been discouraged and doubted she would ever walk. We convinced ourselves that at least she wasn’t suffering anymore and she was alive but if we were honest we would have said we were sick about it. Now we are rejoicing!
SCHOOL
Lorraine has now been going to school for about 6 months and in this short time she has been able to catch up and even surpass her grade after missing 2 and a half years of no school because of her injuries. She says she wants to be a doctor.:)
WHATS NEXT
So yesterday we made another trip to visit Lorraines doctor. She seems to be somewhat of a celebrity to those who have seen her
transformation. Her doctor had thought she would need one more surgery and a doctor from America would be coming to do the surgery part for free) but after X rays it was determined that she will only need a day procedure where small incisions to her ligaments will be made and they will manipulate the knee to move. After this procedure she will do some more physical therapy. After this procedure, with the exception of her scarring, you will eventually not even be able to tell she had an injury.

So we will not move forward this time with any procedure unless our funding is raised. Regardless this is still a win. Than k you to everyone who has given , weeped and prayed with us through this process. Lorraine would be still lying in a bed somewhere suffering if it were not for you…or worse. Can’t wait to see what God has planned for her little life.
