Help support children in mombasa with their education
We are praying for that special person or family who will come along side these children giving them a hope to one day pursue their dreams. In Kenya government schooling costs $5 a month which doesn’t sound like much unless you are poor( average income for the poor in Kenya is less than $2 a day)The widowed moms I have been talking to say “I cant think of school. My goal is to try and make sure my children have one meal a day.” Many children we work with have lost one or both parents to the aids epidemic. Government schools usually have 1 teacher per 100 students and use caning on students for getting wrong answers. We believe this is not a good atmosphere for learning and will strive to find schools that will encourage them. Our prayer is that we would find sponsors that will be willing to go over and beyond . Our hope is to have sponsors that are committed to not just coming along side their child financially but to also pray and encourage them throughout their school years. If you are interested in sponsoring a child please message us or email.
Tamara (Lorraine’s sister) is a 9 years old little girl. She is shy but wants you get to know her she is full of hugs. Tamara aspires to be a lawyer and is working on perfecting her English. Her hobbies are singing , dancing and swimming.
We are looking to raise $700, per year, for Tamara to receive the education she needs. That is less than $60 a month. Every child deserves a chance at a future. By supporting Tamara’s education fund, you can help her grow, learn, and succeed. For more information about getting involved, click the “Contact Us” button below.
